I'm hardly ever in here so this is a rare thing, but I just noticed the engine mounts looks exactly like small block MoPar & I haven't seen that on any s.b. GM or Ford... Is it just me who thought of this? (I remember being surprised that my 318's mounts were located just above Josephine's holes where the original engine used to be.)

Many of the Chrysler engines had the same or very similar mount locations/designs.
I've got a 57, 392 Hemi engine in my garage, same mount design.

Okidoki, thanx for that info, I always noticed a few Chrysler corp / Studebaker technical similarities.

(July 22 Update)

Jay Bradel supplied roller camshaft has been prepped and ground to spec by Fairborn Studebaker.

Sure looks perdy... :D

Image

Bill Van Alstyne did the prep work on the customized engine sling.
The laser cut team name plate by Kramer's Studebaker Workshop is perfect! Aussie's rule!!!!
Bill put a nice radius on the lower edge and did a nice brushed finish on the laser cut stainless.

Image

We welded on the little tabs, and marked the holes on the plate..

Image

Put a nice little chamfer on the holes. No burrs here...

Image

Turned out AWESOME!

Image

(Truth be known).. We had to borrow a ratty old sling last year... That's OK..
I am hoping somebody asks us to lend them our sling this year, which we will glady help out.
And I will be there, ready to photobomb their big name engine shop engine with our custom sling!

(7/22) Parts Sponsor Request! (Fulfilled!)

Looking to help the "Studebaker Power Team" perform at their peak at the upcoming 2019 Hot Rod Magazine Engine Masters Challenge? Here's your chance!
Digger Dave Molnar has requested we get a pair of header collector extension so we can 'tune' the engine to the RPM band on the dyno. I shopped them, and Jeg's seems to have the best price on these. We need two of them...

If someone steps up to help us out, they will be put on our official parts sponsor list and get all the accolades and glory that goes with it!

Studebaker Power team parts sponsor wanted...
Here's your chance to help the Studebaker Power team compete at a high level at the upcoming 2019 Hot Rod Magazine Engine Masters Challenge. Here's the small part we need... A Holley brand throttle cable mount for the carb.
Can anyone step up and get one of these for us?
Supplier not important if someone can snag a deal!
Holley p/n# 20-112

Yessir. I have set up a PayPal account for those that want to help, or you can send a check.
Whichever is easiest.
PM, or e-mail me for details.
Thanks for thinking of the team!
