Posting YOUTUBE Screens In Your Posts

Post by Sonny » 12 Nov 2014, 23:29

Putting a nice active, youtube screen in your post is really very easy. You simply take a youtube link that looks like this --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj8s7RzOYXM and make that same link look like this --> [flash=560,315]http://www.youtube.com/v/lj8s7RzOYXM[/flash ] NOTE: The last bracket ] MUST be right next to that "h" in the last "flash". I had to move it over one space to the right in my demonstration here, so my demonstration link wouldn't bring up a youtube screen.

To get started inserting a neat youtube screen into your post, just hit the "Flash" button in the menu, right above where you do the typing for your post. You will see these "flash boxes" inserted into your post --> [flash=][/flash].

Next, paste your youtube link, (that you copied from the address bar in your browser, while you were viewing the video, on the youtube.com website), in between those two little "flash boxes". [flash=]HERE[/flash]

Next, ALWAYS type this --> 560,315 in the flash box with the equal sign [flash=HERE] (because that is the size of the little screen that we use). Your first flash box should look like this --> [flash=560,315]

Next, take out the stuff in red--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj8s7RzOYXM

Next, move the v over to the left until it looks like this --> http://www.youtube.com/v

Next, add another forward slash like this --> http://www.youtube.com/v/

Next, remove the = sign to make it look like this --> http://www.youtube.com/v/lj8s7RzOYXM

VOILA!!! There you have it, (except for the "flash boxes" at each end!).

The formula is always the same for all videos EXCEPT - the ONLY thing that ever actually changes is your video's unique identification letters/numbers, that go in where the red question marks are here: [flash=560,315]http://www.youtube.com/v/???????????[/flash]

BTW - The formula can have a small "s" after the "http" or not, it doesn't really matter.

If ya don't want to mess with it, just put your youtube address link in your post like you would normally do and I'll punch it right up for ya, no-prob-lem-o. In fact, if I see any youtube links in the posts I automatically just fix 'em up for ya anyway!

OH! The ENTIRE & TOTAL credit for this neat stuff goes to forum member Jim "DA MAN" McCuan! THANKS A MILLION JIMBO!
